Drink Lots of Water

#2  Limit Amount of Protein Including Soy Protein

I don’t want to recommend to anyone to limit too much protein, but for me, even a few bites of chicken per day constipated me terribly.  I would eat my 1 ounce of raw almonds and walnuts in the morning along with my Hot     Cocoa every morning but anymore protein then that causes constipation for me.  This you really need to ask your  doctor because I don’t recommend limiting that much protein because everyone needs protein but since it  constipated me so much, I was desperate to do whatever it took.  Remember, I had a deep, deep fissure, not just         normal constipation.  Unfortunately, for me, I had to limit the protein for too long of a time.  For some reason I was able to handle Beans (Black Beans, Garbanzo Beans, Even Bushes Baked Beans).  Beans are a fantastic form   of Protein and Fiber.

#3  Drink a Fruit Smoothie Everyday

This is HUGE.  You can HIDE beautiful Fiber in this and never even know it is there.  Look for my Fruit  Smoothie Recipe in previous articles.  I also hope to create a recipe book with my top Stop Constipation Recipes.  I can tell if I miss my smoothie so I try to drink one for Lunch each day.  You can have it for Breakfast, Lunch or  Mid Afternoon or Evening snack as a dessert.  I make my smoothie either in my handy NutriBullet when I make one smoothie or Vitamix for 2 or more smoothies.

About Fiber – Psyllium Fiber vs Inulin Fiber. I have an article going into more detail on this at http://stopconstipation.net/psyllium-fiber-vs-inulin-fiber-to-stop-constipation-avoid-hemorrhoids.html but here is a quick comparison for you to help decide which Fiber to use.

I enjoy the texture of the Coarse Psyllium Fiber in my Fruit Smoothies the most because I have always loved seedy whole wheat breads and such. Others would enjoy the Smooth Textured Psyllium Fiber such as Metamucil. I do however advise to stay away from the aspartame sweetened or artificial sweetener fibers. Look on the Labels. Often the flavored Fibers have artificial Sweeteners in them. You can use the Psyllium Fiber in many, many dishes without even knowing it is there. People love my healthy bananna bread and I hide all sorts of fiber in there including Flaxseed. You can add it too Soup, Stews, Salads etc…. along with Flaxseed, ground or whole.

Inulin Fiber Clear is a different type of Fiber. See the above article link to reference more detail. I can not even detect this fiber in my water. I use this in more of my liquids including my smoothies if I am out of psyllium fiber. My watermelon nectarine smoothie would be good with this fiber because I like to keep this smoothie light and refreshing tasting.

Here is the recipe for Watermelon Nectarine Smoothie – http://oilofolayregeneristreviews.com/watermelon-nectarine-smoothie-low-calorie-light-delicious.html. I like to keep Inulin Fiber around for mostly my Liquids because it is virtually undetectable. You can use this in many recipes as well. It doesn’t have to be liquid. If you would like to use in really cold liquids as I do, I do recommend putting a couple of tablespoons spoons of warm water in your glass or bottle, then add your fiber, shake or stir and add your liquids of choice.

Start out with only 1/2 teaspoon when you are first adding fiber to your diet. See how your body reacts. Your body needs to SLOWLY become accustomed to fiber. Eventually you may end up adding up to 2 Tablespoons to your smoothies or dishes but start out slow or you may get diarrhea and I don’t want you to become discouraged.

#4  Drink Lots of Water

Most suggest drinking 64 ounces of water per day and others will recommend 1/2 your body weight in ounces   and possibly plus 10 ounces over that for constipation treatments.  Example:  If you weigh 150 pounds, you would drink 75 to 85 ounces of water every single day.  That may seem like too much to conquer but if these  suggestion are constipation remedies, wouldn’t you be willing to get constipation relief by getting your body accustom to drinking lots of fluid?

TASTY WATER
In a 16 to 24 Ounce Bottle Mix:
1 tsp Lemon Juice Concentrate or Squeeze 1/4 of a Lemon along with the Pulp for Fiber
Optional add 1/2 to 1 Full package of Emergen-C for added flavor and vitamins
1/2 tsp Inulin Fiber to Start & work up to 1 – 2 Tablespoons (mix with a bit of warm water 1st)
Shake Well and Enjoy

I also add the Clear Fiber to my water bottle for an extra 3 to 5 grams to boot. I prefer the clear fiber in my beverages and liquidy type cooking such as soups).
