Hemorrhoids are a swelling and or inflammation of veins in the rectum and anus. The technical term refers to Cushion of vascular tissue which fills the blood vessels in the rectum and anus. The veins become dilated causing pain, itching and sometimes bleeding often occurring during pregnancy because of the added weight of the baby or postnatal due to excessive pushing from labor and delivery or by becoming constipated causing an individual to strain and push to defecate. Diarrhea and lack of enough fiber and water in your DAILY dietary routine often leads to Hemorrhoids.
Stop or cut way back on the caffeinated drinks such as coffee and sodas. The diuretic effect will deplete your body of the essential and necessary liquids your body requires. A Gluten Free Diet or Milk Free Diet (limiting the irritation of Lactose) may also help. Your genetic history may predestine you to Hemorrhoids or obesity, so take the precautions ahead of time to avoid these nasty pains.
- Internal Hemorrhoids occur inside the rectum. Often not resulting in pain because of the lack of pain receptors in this particular area. Bleeding may occur when internal Hemorrhoids become irritated from hard stools. If left untreated, Internal Hemorrhoids may prolapsed or become strangulated.
- External Hemorrhoids can be painful, swell and itch making it difficult to sit for long periods of time. They occur on the outside of the anus.
- A Thromboses Hemorrhoid happens when the vein ruptures and a blood clot develops.
What can you do to reduce the pain and swelling: Put ice in a plastic zip loc type bay and wrap in a cloth and apply to the area. This will help reduce pain and swelling. Soaking in a warm bath of Epson Salt 3 to 4 times per day if possible especially after passing a bowel movement.
Before your Bowel Movement, apply a gentle lubricant such as cocoa butter or vitamin E to the anal area.
Exchanging simple sugar type foods (High Glycemic Index) for high fiber diet works wonders and natural Fruits and Vegetables. Avoid white flour, white rice and white sugars. Go for the whole grains, brown and wild rice, whole grain cereals or gluten free cereals. You will have incredibly stupendous results not only with your general health by taking these precautions but you can stop constipation. Berry Delicious Yogurt Dessert Recipe
1 cup plain low fat yogurt
1 cup frozen berries (I prefer raspberries and blackberries for this dessert)
Droplets of Stevia to Taste (5 or 6 drops for me)

1 tsp sugar if needed
1/2 tsp lemon juice optional
Mix together with spoon and let sit for 5 minute and Enjoy this healthy happy dessert.
